I'm a Concept Artist and Illustrator from Tampa, Florida with a BFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art & Design(SCAD)!

Sitting in one place for even an hour was not the way for little Maria. Everything changed after seeing the film How to Train Your Dragon. For the first time in my young life, my attention was grabbed. I quickly grew to love movies, and was enthralled with the stories and worlds they shared with me. Further, after closely watching behind the scenes footage on repeat, I felt and continue to feel a need to be a part of that collaborative creative making process.

Ever since, I've completed commissions for people, visualizing and connecting them with their ideas onto paper. I've also led a video game production, a flag football team, and an art club. All of which created treasured memories I hold dear.

Thanks to my 8 years of accumulative experience at art schools, I've got to work on small and big projects. From athletes to artists, I've learned what it takes to lead teams of people, and create encouraging and inclusive environments. These experiences have made me passionate about working in teams and connecting with others!

 

My life of telling stories has only just begun and I'm so curious to see where my story will take me next!
